Goethe B1 vocabulary that keeps coming back

B1 vocabulary by task — opinion, comparison, suggestion — plus the verbs examiners hear every session.

Themes, not random lists

B1 word lists fail when every noun is isolated. Group by what you must *do*: give an opinion, compare two options, suggest a plan, complain politely. Verantwortung, Erfahrung, Möglichkeit, Entwicklung, Auswirkung only stick if you own a sentence for each.

Example: Eine Möglichkeit wäre, weniger Auto zu fahren. That one line teaches noun, article, Konjunktiv II, and zu in a useful shape.

Verbs that pull their weight

sich beschweren, vorschlagen, diskutieren, beeinflussen, sich interessieren für, sich Sorgen machen um. Learn the preposition with the verb. interessieren without für is how answers look almost right and still lose the mark.

Practise weil and obwohl in the same answer. Contrast is a B1 signal: you can hold two ideas without flattening them into und.

False friends sitting in the same topics

aktuell is current, not actually. bekommen is receive, not become. They show up in environment and media texts on purpose. The false-friends guide is the companion piece, not a separate hobby.

A daily drill that does not eat the evening

Ten minutes of B1 blanks beats an hour of highlighting a PDF you will not reopen. Let yesterday's misses choose today's verbs. If you keep missing the same prefix verb, that is a separable-verb problem, not a vocabulary problem.
